Preciosa Collection

The Preciosa Company, headquartered in the town of Jablonec nad Nisou in northern Bohemia, produces signature creations made of pure, hand-cut crystal.  Since its founding in 1948, the Company has drawn upon the craftsmanship of the Bohemian glassmakers, the skills of the glass cutters, and 'cutting edge' technology, "to bring and share sparkle, magic and elegance" with all the world.  It seeks to preserve and honor the region's respect for quality, skills, reliability, and innovation. 

The name of the Company is taken from the Latin "preciosus", meaning precious, rare, or noble.  These are, in fact, the perfect  words to describe the beautiful crystal figurines and exclusive jewelry fashioned by Preciosa's artists and craftsmen.  The Preciosa Company takes great pride in its creations:  "In union with each other, loving hands breathe life into the final form, revealing it for the first time in all its exquisite beauty and elegance."  As a guarantee of the highest crystal quality and authenticity, each finished product is etched with the graphic symbol of the Preciosa Company, a registered trademark since 1915.

Each piece of Preciosa jewelry is certified, to confirm the authenticity of the Bohemian crystal from which it is made.  The certification also guarantees that the jewelry has been manufactured in compliance with safety and health standards.  The metal components of jewelry made by Preciosa are gold-plated or rhodium-plated.
